Plastic & Polymers

Plastic is regarded as the common term for a large category of synthetic polymerization substance. They are made up of polymers (substance constitutes of molecules with wide range of molecular mass made of repeated structural units, together connected with chemical bonds) and other substances to reduce cost and to improve performance.

There are number of products that are made up of plastics like table, chairs, photo-frames, house-hold products, etc. However the use of plastic products especially carry-bags are threat to the environmental concerns. With a view to such threat many industries producing such products started to work on plastic recycling process.

Since the invention of plastic and polymer is regarded as a boon to man kind in the same way it is also a curse. It is regarded as a boon that it preserves metals that are getting exhausted at a rapid speed and at the same time it is non-degradable in the environment. In the country like India many problems are taking place due to the extensive use of such materials (especially problem in water drainage).

However there is need to have eco-friendly use of such material that is useful and at the same time it prevents threat to the environment.
