Fashion is a widely used term in day to day life. Fashion may be defined as the trend that is set in a society during a particular period of time. The word 'fashion' is most commonly used to describe one's personal appearance in terms of clothes, footwear, make-up etc. Fashion and styles keep changing with time.

In today’s world people are very conscious about how they look and the clothes they wear, in short they have become fashion conscious. This has helped the fashion industry grow rapidly and provided scope for the setup of various fashion schools, designing courses etc. Western style has had a big impact on the world in terms of fashion, it is followed almost everywhere globally. In India, traditional clothing and styles are nowadays worn mostly on special occasions.

Style is also reflected by the accessories worn by the person, like watches, shoes, jewelry, bags etc. all add to the personality and external appearance of the wearer. Nowadays cross cultural fashions have become popular, people like to experiment with new fashions and that is what makes it so evolving in nature.
