Entertainment is regarded as an activity which is designed to give relaxation and pleasure to an audience. The audience can passively take part in entertainment activities such as watching a movie in a cine theatre or actively participate in some games.

The various examples of entertainment are cinema, animation, circus, theatre, games, dance, reading, comics, music and comedy. In this busy world, people hardly find any time to entertain themselves, which is necessary to keep the mind fresh and working. It is always advisable to find some time for relaxation that keep the mind and soul fresh from day-to-day activities.

People must also go for vacations and visit some place which is meant for recreational purpose. In India many people are fond to watch movies, visit parks and gardens, watch television serials, TV shows etc. to get pleasure of mind. The role of entertainment industry is expanding which is an important component in service sector.

As such industry contributes much to national income this show that people try to bring entertainment and recreation in their life, which is a sign of healthy mind. After all it is true that “fun and frolic makes our mind fresh”.
