Computers

Computer is a machine which accepts an input from an external input device, then processes the input data and finally gives an output. The computer is a versatile device which can be used in practically all fields of work. A program is a set of instructions given to the computer for execution and interpretation; these programs are devised to obtain specific results.

Computers have evolved to be a very fast, efficient and compact machine over the period of time. Earlier they used to be bulky and slow in comparison with today’s machines. The price of computers has also reduced drastically and now it is within the reach of common people.

The dependability on computers has increased so much that, everything is now getting digitalized for e.g. railway bookings, governments records, school education, business management, designing of products, banking transaction, communication etc. basically computers have touched the human life in all possible fields. Today portable computers like laptops, netbooks and smartphones are seen being carried around by everyone, which shows the penetration of the computers in human life.

The modern computer have powerful processors that have multitasking capabilities, it lets us perform various different tasks at the same time for e.g. you could be listening to music while working on some project with the drawing software running in the background.
